Submission guidelines

SWGE platform

The submission, reviewing and registration processes will be handled via the SWGE web-based management system ( Authors who have their accounts must log in using this link; those who are not registered in the system must create a new account before logging in, follow the instructions and provide the requested information.

Submit short abstracts

Authors should first submit short abstracts (400 words, in PDF file, free format), which will be evaluated under the responsibility of the Organizing Committee.

Full-length papers

After acceptance of abstracts, authors must submit the corresponding full-length papers (maximum 10 pages) intended for publication in the symposium proceedings. The papers must be strictly formatted according to the template available for MS-Word or Latex word processing.

The full-length papers will be reviewed under the responsibility of the Organizing Committee, after which the final (revised) versions of the papers must be submitted.

Due to the symposium tight schedule, only one paper per presenting author will be accepted.

Papers should address theoretical aspects and/or practical applications related to the following main topics:

  • Bayesian methods
  • Computational stochastic mechanics
  • Fuzzy methods
  • Industrial applications of uncertainty quantification
  • Interval methods
  • Inverse problems in presence of uncertainties
  • Multi-objective optimization in presence of uncertainties
  • Probabilistic methods
  • Risk analysis
  • Robust analysis
  • Robust, performance-based and reliability-based structural optimization under uncertainty
  • Stochastic control
  • Stochastic dynamics and random vibrations
  • Structural reliability
  • Uncertainty identification
  • Uncertainty quantification and reduction
  • Uncertainty propagation
